Audiologist/ Audiometrist

About the role

Joy of Hearing is seeking an experienced Audiologist or Audiometrist to join our team in Devonport, Tasmania. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing expert audiology services to our patients. You will be an integral part of our mission to improve the quality of life for those with hearing difficulties.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive hearing assessments and evaluations for children and adults
• Selecting, fitting, and programming hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
• Providing counselling and rehabilitation services to patients and their families
• Opportunity to develop your skills to perform diagnostic tests (ABR and Vestibular Tests - training will be provided)
• Ear wax removal (training will be provided)
• Tinnitus consultation and management (Optional + training will be provided)
• Maintaining detailed patient records and adhering to relevant regulations by HSP
• Participating in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements

What we're looking for

• QP Number (preferable but not mandatory)
• Registration with AcAud or Aud Australia
• Current Driver's License, WWVP (Working with Vulnerable People) and WWC (Working With Children) card
• Strong knowledge of hearing assessment techniques, hearing aid technologies, and rehabilitation strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
