The role:
We are now seeking a hands-on Finance Manager who will lead our Finance Team to perform a range of activities related to both financial and management accounting that serve to support effective and efficient business operations of LGT. With guidance from the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead day-to-day finance operations and provide insights to help our leadership team make informed decisions that support our services and our people. This role is based in our South Hobart office, with flexibility for full-time or part-time arrangements.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a small finance team to deliver excellent service across the organisation.
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly accounting process and finance functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for the CEO, Board, and Service Managers
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing clear recommendations for improvement.
- Administer finance systems and ensure compliance with accounting policies and delegation limits.
- Foster a culture of wellbeing, safety, accountability and professionalism, modelling the LGT Code of Conduct.
- Contribute to projects and improvement initiatives as a member of the organisational leadership group.
What you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in business (or similar)
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
- 3+ years' experience in a senior finance role with proven people leadership experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights and concepts clearly to support decision-making.
- Proven capability as a super-user of finance systems, with prior experience in Wiise (Microsoft Business Central), SAP Concur, Xap or Access Micropay highly regarded.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (child-related activity) and recent National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
