Irrigationist

Located in Stanthorpe, Queensland, our farm is a large-scale supplier to the Australian supermarkets and wholesales. Already one of the largest protected cropping strawberry growers in mainland Australia, we are currently going through a massive growth period and are looking to expand our team. We are currently seeking an experienced Irrigationist for an ongoing position to start ASAP

Reporting to the Farm Manager, this position requires you to:

• have a sound knowledge and experience in irrigation/fertigation system programming, installation, and maintenance

• have experience managing irrigation schedules

• be flexible with days worked and start times

• have confidence with using computers to manage fertigation/irrigation systems

• have working knowledge of Priva irrigation systems

• collaborate in design and implementation of the irrigation program

• work up to 6 days per week

• have a current drivers licence and own transport

• keep accurate and up to date records- a strong attention to detail is critical

• communicate well with all levels of the organisation

• work within WH&S requirements

• undertake drug and alcohol tests prior to commencement, and periodically after commencement of employment.

A Certificate in Horticulture or similar will be highly regarded but not essential, as would experience growing strawberries.

Remuneration will be negotiated depending on experience
