Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do. 

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Service, Eltham.  

St Vincent's Care Services Eltham is just 20 kilometres north-east of Melbourne's city centre and is well known for its vast amount of green space. We provide a welcoming and inclusive community where our residents enjoy the comfort of a relaxed lifestyle.

Night Shift Role – Mainly Weekdays and Sunday
 

Things that work for us:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support / Certificate III Aged Care or similar qualification is essential.

  • Experience in an aged care environment.

  • Personal care provision that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation.

  • Experience providing services and activities centred around client needs including grooming, showering, mobility, meals, toileting, social activities.

  • High level of customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan.

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities.

  • Vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19.

  • National Police Certificate.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
