About The OpportunityProgrammed Facility Management are seeking experienced FIFO Casual Utilities (All-rounder) staff to join our Village Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Village Management, Catering, Transport, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Mining Company situated in the west of North Queensland.Benefits ProvidedUniforms / PPE and AccommodationAccess to Benefits Program and Corporate DiscountsAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a range of support and counselling services for any issue, personal or work relatedKey ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for the cleaning and general grounds upkeep of >400 Accommodation Rooms, Village and/or Minesite facilities, in addition to the provision of high standard daily food and menu preparation and/or responsible service of alcohol and sale of products for the Residents and Workers of the Site.That all areas are kept organised, free from hazards and compliant with quality standards, always maintaining a high level of cleanliness and customer service.Ad hoc support to the Village Management is occasionally required.Duties include:Achieve completion targets within allocated timeframes; respond to timely ad-hoc cleaning or grounds requestsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental, quality standards, and the Occupational Health and Safety ActHousekeeping of residents' rooms as per schedule, including stripping/making beds, removing/replacing linen/towels, cleaning ensuites, and ablutionsLaundry duties: removal and replacement of linen/towels, sorting, folding, and storageMinesite cleaning of site offices, facilities, crib rooms, and ablutionsAppropriate storage and use of chemicals; maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials/consumablesEnsure all designated work and communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness; ensure kitchenware is washed and stored, and rubbish is removed appropriatelyMaintain food production equipment, kitchen premises, and bar area, including glasswareProduction and assistance with high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals, including bulk food preparation and labellingAssist with stock control, including quality reporting and temperature monitoring; participate in end-of-month stock take auditsPreparing and serving alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, water, and coffee; tapping kegs and cleaning beer linesProvide product advice in a retail environment; increase retail sales; take and handle payments for ordersAssist with the opening and closing of the bar / tavern, and retail shopMaintain compliance with liquor regulations, workplace health and safety laws, and HACCP guidelinesKeep daily logs and records of all work orders completedLiaise with appropriate staff and security in the event of an incidentTransportation of residents (where required), completion of vehicle pre-starts and required safety reporting/compliance, maintain a clean and tidy vehicleNotify Supervisor of any maintenance requests/issues within the Village/SiteAssist with green / waste management of accommodation and facilityAssist Village Manager and other Department Supervisors as requiredAbout YouTo join our team, you will be an experienced and highly organised Team Player with "can do" attitude, excellent attention to detail, a passion to always provide quality product and first-class customer service (with a smile).
