EP-Support-Officer-Oct-2025

Are you a proactive and organised professional with a passion for supporting executive leadership and contributing to environmental and community outcomes? We're looking for an Environment & Place Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Director and management team within the Environment and Place Directorate.

About the Role

As the Environment & Place Support Officer, you will:

  • Deliver confidential and professional executive support.
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings, travel, and events.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and records.
  • Assist with research, project support, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support Council meetings, workshops, and community requests.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the Office of the CEO assisting with peak periods and leave backfill of the Executive Support team when required.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong administrative and digital skills (Microsoft Office, corporate systems).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience working in a political environment and with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Able to work some out-of-hours to assist with workshops and Council meetings.
  • Flexibility to work across locations and conditions is essential.
  • Experience in local government or similar sector is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration are an advantage.

This position is offered as a permanent, full-time basis classified at Level 4 under the City of Burnside Administration Employees Enterprise Agreement 2023.
