Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated male and Female Support Worker to join our team in Caboolture, Brisbane QLD
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to participants, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Providing assistance with mobility and transportation, such as accompanying clients to appointments or outings.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Promote independence and self-sufficiency by encouraging and teaching life skills.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where participants can thrive.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records.
- Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the care team.
- Respond to participant's unique needs and challenges with empathy and patience.
- experience with participants who have behaviour of concern.
Qualifications:
- Cert III/IV in Disability or equivalent.
- NDIS Screening Check
- NDIS Induction Module
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Previous experience in a support worker role or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others' lives.
- Ability to adapt to various participant needs and preferences.
- First Aid and CPR
