About the role

A vacancy exists for the position of Colts Coach. The CFC talent pathway sets the benchmark in WA for providing talent to both the WAFL & AFL competitions. The Colts Coach will be responsible for implementing a football program based on strong leadership, elite standards & individual player development & education.

This role presents a unique opportunity to make a positive impact and continue the progressive momentum established through hard work and perseverance by the Club and its stakeholders. Key Focus Areas of the Position are;

  • To provide long term senior players for the Claremont Football Club
  • To assist capable players in getting drafted to the AFL
  • To create an elite environment that is conducive to both learning and enjoyment
  • Contribute to the development of skills, physical attributes, football knowledge, personal growth and self esteem of all players
  • Establish, implement and coordinate appropriate training programs that maximise the development of all players
  • Lead and influence all support staff in a positive manner.
  • Embrace the Claremont FC philosophy of developing our own
  • Liaise with the Claremont FC Country regions (Kimberley & Great Southern) and ensure the logistics and player welfare given the large distances are taken into account when dealing with Country player welfare.
  • Cultural backgrounds are understood and considered when making decisions that may affect player performance; given the sacrifices players make living away from home.
  • Align football development priorities closely to the senior program and proactively engage with other coaches and staff
