The Maintenance Carpenter delivers maintenance and general upkeep activities associated with council's building assets, in accordance with established service standards and relevant legislation. This position works collaboratively across teams and effectively coordinates subcontractors to ensure Council's facilities are maintained safely and sustainably.

This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in inspections and hands-on maintenance of building and facilities, with the ability to operate independently working within the established and agreed parameters.

  • A current driver's licence, the ability to use smartphones, tablets and computers for work related tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft applications and a willingness to learn industry specific software.

  • Ability to handle unexpected situations and engage customers with professionalism.
