1st Class Welder

Are you a skilled Welder or Fabricator looking to join a company that values craftsmanship, precision and quality? We are looking for an experienced 1st Class Welder / Fabricator to join the production team of a well-established manufacturing business servicing the Australian defence market.

Key Duties:

• Perform high-quality welding and fabrication using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Carry out MIG, TIG, and stick welding in accordance with specifications and technical drawings
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and plans
• Conduct in-process checks and ensure all work meets strict quality standards
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment and hand tools
• Prepare and finish welded surfaces using grinders, cutters, and other tools
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures
• Collaborate effectively with a small, skilled team to deliver projects on time

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualified Welder, Boilermaker or Fabricator (1st Class preferred)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in MIG and TIG welding
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Experience welding mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel to a high standard
• Knowledge of high-tensile materials (e.g. Bisalloy 500) highly regarded
• Competent with hand and power tools (drills, linishers, squares, callipers etc.)
• Strong attention to detail, quality focus and commitment to safety
