Description

Mansfield Kindergarten is proud to offer the Early Childhood Language Program each year.

We are now seeking a new language teacher for 2026. It is a fun and well- paid position teaching our 4- year -old groups a second language. This is a part-time role – 6 hours contact and 3 hours planning per week (planning time can be done off-site). This year our language teacher taught German, however we are open to something new – Auslan, French, Japanese, Italian, Spanish are just a few examples

Our language teacher will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Delivering the ECLP in line with the VEYLDF.

  • Developing and sourcing age-appropriate language resources, games, experiences, and play-based activities.

  • Undertaking the Language Proficiency Assessment arranged by the Department at the beginning of their employment to demonstrate appropriate language skills.

  • Completing the online Early Childhood Language Teaching Methodology course. This course is mandatory for all new language teachers and must be completed within their first two terms of starting.

Qualifications
