Kitchen Cook – Lead Weekday & Weekend Support Role

Location: The Boatshed Woronora – 131 Prince Edward Park Rd, Woronora

Employment Type: Casual

We're looking for an experienced and reliable kitchen cook to join our team at The Boatshed Woronora. This role offers a great mix of lead responsibility during weekday shifts and supporting our Head Chef on weekends.

Availability required:

• Wednesdays & Thursdays – lead role while Head Chef is off
• Saturdays & Sundays – assisting the Head Chef during busy weekend service

Your Role Includes: Lead Cook (Wed & Thu)

• Running service and kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
• Managing prep, cooking and plating according to the Boatshed menu
• Ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are upheld
• Delegating tasks to kitchen hands or support staff as needed
• Communicating with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service

Weekend Support (Sat & Sun)

• Assisting the Head Chef with food prep, service, and plating
• Taking direction during high-volume shifts
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and assisting with stock rotation
• Jumping on sections as needed to support the team

About You:

• Confident cook with café or bistro-style experience
• Comfortable leading a shift solo on weekdays
• Calm under pressure and efficient during peak weekend trade
• Strong communicator and team player
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Bonus if you live locally or are familiar with the Woronora area

Pay: $32.00 – $37.00 per hour
