The opportunity

Dee Why RSL is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our Courtyard kitchen team. In this key role, you will lead and oversee all kitchen operations, while ensuring that the outlet delivers high quality, consistent and innovative woodfire cooked dishes, share plates and side meals in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Assist to develop and implement creative and seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertise.
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
• Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of contemporary cuisine and food trends.
• Proven experience with pizza making and working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and motivating kitchen staff.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
• Passion for creating memorable dining experiences and a deep understanding of the local community.
• Tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts or equivalent industry experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
