City of Newcastle (CN) currently has multiple opportunities for
Field Workers
to join our Open Space Operations team and work across Newcastle's parks and gardens. As a member of our team, you won't just work for the city; you'll co-create it.

As a Field Worker (Parks and Gardens), you will use a range of horticultural skills and practices to assist in the maintenance and improvement of our passive and active open spaces throughout the local government area. You will operate equipment and machinery in a safe manner specific to horticultural/turf, tree maintenance and landscaping industry and comply with relevant CN WHS procedures and risk assessments. Through your work, you'll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastle's evolution as you shape our future as a liveable, inclusive city.
