Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the HR function across the organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and values
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and SCHADS Award
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to build staff capability and promote career growth
  • Manage HR systems and maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation
  • Drive employee engagement and wellbeing programs that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and training outcomes
  • Ensure workplace health and safety practices are embedded across all teams
  • Support organisational change initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Actively adapt to evolving organisational needs and external regulatory changes

Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the disability, healthcare, or community services sector
  • Demonstrated success in managing HR operations in a multi-site environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Inspires and guides teams with empathy and strategic vision
  • Compliance: Strong understanding of employment law, NDIS, and SCHADS Award
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and solution-oriented approach to HR challenges
  • Technology: Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and data reporting tools
  • Systems Experience: Experience with Employment Hero and MYP CRM is highly regarded

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle that can be used for work purposes
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Desirable

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Leadership & Management Certification
