Waacks Bakery, a proudly family-owned business operating for over 30 years, is seeking two enthusiastic Bakery Apprentices to join our team in Stawell.

We've built our reputation on quality, consistency, and community, and we're now offering the opportunity for two motivated individuals to begin a rewarding career in baking – learning everything from bread and cake making to pastry and pie production in a supportive and professional environment. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

If you already have industry experience in either Bread, Pastry or Cakes, we would love to hear from you too, as we can select a different course option to enable you to further advance your career in the Baking Industry.

About the Roles:

As a Bakery Apprentice, you'll be trained by experienced professionals while completing your Certificate III in Baking. These are full-time roles with a variety of shifts available throughout the week, offering hands-on experience across all areas of our busy production bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, pies, and cakes
  • Learn to operate and maintain commercial baking equipment
  • Follow strict food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Contribute to a clean, organised, and team-oriented workspace
  • Work alongside experienced bakers and pastry chefs

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong interest in baking and food production
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a trade-based career
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic
  • Team-focused mindset with good communication skills
  • No experience needed – just a great attitude
  • Sponsorship considered for the right applicant currently in Australia
