Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Disability Support Workers.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the group home, ensuring compliance with NDIS and company policies.
  • Develop and implement behaviour support strategies in collaboration with behaviour practitioners and allied health professionals.
  • Ensure participants' care plans and risk assessments are followed and updated as required.
  • Manage rosters, shift allocations, and staff performance.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on respect, collaboration, and participant empowerment.
  • Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and progress notes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Team Leader or Senior Support Worker in mental health and/or disability settings.
  • Proven experience supporting participants with complex and challenging behaviours and/or forensic backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and restrictive practice protocols.
  • Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in completing documentation, shift reports, and using digital systems.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
