About the opportunity
The Examination Logistics Officer works with the Exams Office in Student Administration Services (SAS) and will take a hands-on approach facilitating the efficient running of examinations in accordance with the policy and procedures of the University.
The Examination Logistics Officer will primarily assist with the packing and/or logistics of centrally managed examinations. In this role, you will be required to provide support services to the examinations office in the formal exam sessions, providing timely and secure distribution of examination papers and associated materials. Operating within a high volume and demand-driven service environment, the Examinations Logistics Officer works closely with staff in the Examinations Office to support and deliver an efficient and effective exam experience to students.
We are seeking multiple Examination Logistics Officers to take on service room attendant or driving responsibilities for the upcoming examination period, which will run from 17th – 29th November 2025.
Please outline your preference/specialisation between service room attendant and/or driving in your application or cover letter. This role is ideal for an individual with flexible and full availability over this 2-week period (evening and weekend shifts also available).
If successful, you will also be required to undertake online training components from 03 November There will be an on-site training day 11 November - Please ensure you are available on this day.
Your key responsibilities
receive and forward examinations papers and associated materials in accordance with university procedures and security
monitor exam supervisor sign on sheets and advise examinations office of issues
set up of examination venues, including paperwork and computer equipment, receiving, and checking computer systems to facilitate the efficient delivery of computer-based examinations on campus
ensure that exam papers and supporting materials are secure at all times
assist exam supervisors with transporting exam papers and/or materials
check, sort, collate and pack highly confidential and high volumes of exam papers with a high level of security and accuracy, within strict turn-around times and in compliance with University policies, rules, and guidelines
prepare and accurately distribute, collect, and validate exam materials and venue boxes to venues within precinct
under the direction of the examination office and/or relevant team leader, support the activities of the portfolio to ensure compliance and service excellence to students and staff
complete reports for any incidents in accordance with University policy and procedure
perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as approved by the Exams Coordination Officer and commensurate to the role's classification level .
About you
experience in the provision of excellent customer service, together with well-developed communications skills within a strong customer service focused environment
punctual and reliable, calm, and cheerful demeanour
accurate and efficient administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
capability to maintain continuous mobility for long periods of time and carry documentation, including examination papers between venues
well-developed interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
basic computer skills including MS Office Suite
ability to exercise sound judgement and initiative
Driver role will require a valid driver's license (University vehicle will be provided)
