About Us
Amicom Infrastructure is a growing leader in the telecommunications and civil construction industry. We are expanding our infrastructure team and are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Civil Technician to join us. This role is ideal for individuals who have hands-on experience in pit and pipe installations and a strong understanding of civil works in the telecommunications sector.
Role Overview
As a Telecommunications Civil Technician, you will be responsible for executing a range of civil construction activities, including trenching, pit and conduit installation, and site reinstatement. You'll work collaboratively with our project and engineering teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out civil construction works such as trenching, pit and conduit installation, and reinstatement.
Safely operate heavy vehicles and machinery in compliance with company and industry safety standards.
Read and interpret construction drawings, Dial-Before-You-Dig maps, and project documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Conduct on-site risk assessments and adhere strictly to all WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures.
Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials, and site conditions.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in civil telecommunications or related civil construction roles.
Proficiency in pit and pipe installations and conduit systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans.
Strong awareness of WHS practices and safe work procedures.
Current driver's licence (MR/HR licence desirable).
Excavator and/or other plant operator tickets will be highly regarded.
