Purpose of the Role

To deliver accurate and timely cabinetry drawings and production-ready documentation using Microvellum and other Align Kitchens systems, ensuring seamless workflow between design, estimating, CNC programming, and installation.

This role supports production efficiency, machine utilisation, and delivery quality across all cabinetry projects.

Key Responsibilities

Microvellum Drafting

  • Prepare, review, and manage detailed shop drawings and production files for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes, and custom joinery.
  • Convert design concepts and site measurements into accurate, ready-for-manufacture documentation.
  • Maintain Microvellum library accuracy, including materials, hardware, and component standards.
  • Produce CNC-ready files aligned with Align's production templates.

Production Support

  • Collaborate with Production Manager to ensure files are correctly nested and sequenced for efficient machining.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues between drawings, nesting, and CNC output.
  • Liaise with Operations Manager to ensure production data aligns with SimPRO scheduling and job timelines.

Procurement & Coordination

  • Generate purchase orders for job-specific materials, hardware, routed doors, and outsourced components when required.
  • Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to confirm specifications and lead times.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support the refinement of internal drafting standards, Microvellum setup, and documentation processes.
  • Contribute feedback to improve estimating templates and the Power Apps quoting platform.

Key Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microvellum (essential)
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction and manufacturing methods
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines
  • Effective communication across production and design teams
  • Knowledge of CNC operations and file preparation (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, or similar CAD systems (advantageous)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
