About Us

MAEWENN is a contemporary jewellery brand known for our delicate, nature-inspired handcrafted designs.

Our collections blend modern minimalism with organic forms, celebrating craftsmanship and sustainability.

We operate three beautiful Sydney boutique and a growing online store, offering our customers a carefully curated retail experience. We're now looking for two experienced Retail Manager to lead our team and help drive the next stage of our brand's growth.

The Role

As our Retail Manager, you'll take ownership of all aspects of boutique operations — from daily management and customer experience to sales performance and team leadership.

You'll play a key role in maintaining the boutique's creative atmosphere while ensuring commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and visual merchandising.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a small retail team to meet sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee stock control, supplier orders, and product replenishment.
  • Prepare and analyse sales and performance reports to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement in-store marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to align the in-store experience with brand identity.
  • Handling budgeting and cost control for the store

About You

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a retail management or supervisory role
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • A passion for jewellery, design, and delivering a personalised customer experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing budgets
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and leading teams
  • Familiarity with inventory control and merchandising

Leadership & Management:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities

Customer Service:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle customer complaints professionally

Sales & Operations:

  • Sales-driven mindset with understanding of KPIs and P&L statements
  • Inventory management and stock control
  • Visual merchandising knowledge

Technical:

  • Proficiency in using POS systems and retail software
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
