About The Role:

• The Mater Hospital has an innovative and progressive Orthopaedic department with some surgery utilising Robotics. There are 4 orthopaedic wards, including our rehabilitation ward. We care for patients following knee and hip replacements, shoulder, spine and foot surgery as well as sports injuries.
• Our experienced team of health care professionals, care givers and support staff are equipped to provide the highest level of therapeutic, medical and surgical services.
• We are one of Australia's leading orthopaedic hospitals and the only Australian hospital to be admitted into the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.

About You:

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in acute surgical nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development.

Desirable:

• Previous orthopaedic nursing experience.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

• One of Sydney's premier private hospitals.
• Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
• The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
• Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
