Two part-time, ongoing positions – one at Senior School, one at Surf Coast Campus
THE ROLES
We are seeking to appoint appropriately qualified Student Wellbeing Officers to two new, ongoing part-time positions at our Surf Coast and Senior Campus, commencing Term 1, 2026:
- Surf Coast Campus: Part-time, ongoing – 15.2 hours per week (0.4 FTE)
- Senior Campus: Part-time, ongoing – 15.2 hours per week (0.4 FTE)
Reporting to the Director of Student Wellbeing, the successful candidates will join our dedicated Student Wellbeing team to foster a positive wellbeing culture across the College. This role involves:
- Supporting students with day-to-day wellbeing needs
- Encouraging student engagement and participation
- Providing early interventions and appropriate referrals
- Collaborating with external professionals and student support groups
- Liaising with parents/guardians
- Delivering wellbeing programs to student groups
The Student Wellbeing Officer plays a vital role in promoting student welfare and creating a supportive environment where students can build meaningful relationships with peers and staff. Each day will be dynamic and purposeful, focused on enhancing the overall wellbeing of our students.

WHAT YOU BRING
We are looking for heartfelt, genuine, adaptable Student Wellbeing Officers to provide support to students and families within our community.
You will be working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve best outcomes for all involved and have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification relating to wellbeing that may include qualification(s) in mental health, counselling, social work, psychology, teaching, youth work etc
- Demonstrated prior experience working with children and young people and the ability to build rapport and trust
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices in relation to behaviour, psychological and wellbeing theories and practices, policies and current legislations relevant to children and young people
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, advocacy and conflict resolution skills to liaise with chaplains, teaching staff, management, parent and external providers
- Proven innovative and imaginative problem-solving skills
- A thorough understanding of and commitment to Child Safe frameworks and regulations.
