Estimator Supervior

Our client who operates within the construction industry, are seeking to appoint an Estimator/Supervisor on a permanent basis to help with their Domestic, Commercial and Insurance-related projects. The successful candidate is responsible for preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, pricing as well as assisting in supervising and managing daily construction activities on site and support the delivery through office-based coordination and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Office-based support to calculate cost, analysis plans, specifications and project requirements to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
• Onsite supervision to oversee site operations and monitoring progress.
• Ensuring timely tender preparations and quotation submissions.
• Engaging and building key relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders in meetings and stie assessments to gather project requirements or review scopes of work.
• Support Project Managers in handovers, price variation and offering procurement advice during project delivery.
• Implement safety procedures such as ensuring the use of appropriate PPE, conducting regular site inductions, toolbox talks and risks assessments.

Essential skills, qualifications and attributes:

• Valid White Card.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Building & Construction, Estimating and/or relevant field experience.
• Current Driver's License.
• Attention to detail.
• Be able to work autonomously and in a team.
• High proficiency with computer skills.
• Experience in handling homeowner relations with empathy and professionalism.
• Build rapport with key stakeholders and suppliers.
