What You'll Be Doing
Utilising their extensive specialist or generalist knowledge a Level 3 research genetic counsellor will be involved in aspects of genomic research projects including planning and development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation. Genomic research projects may be related to (but is not limited to) implementation science/service delivery, education, genomic testing, understanding of genomic disease and genomic therapeutics.

This role will also often be involved in clinical genetic counselling whereby the genetic counsellor will integrate their clinical genomic knowledge, health communication and counselling skills to facilitate clients' informed choices about their healthcare.
