The role

South West Care Services Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer – Ageing & Disability to join our team. In this contract role, you will be responsible for ensuring our organisation complies with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing the aged care and disability support sectors. The role is based in Campbelltown, NSW.

Key responsibilities

  1. Monitor and assess compliance with legislation, regulations and industry standards for NDIS & Aged Care services across all areas of the organisation

  2. Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures and training programs to drive a culture of compliance

  3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any compliance issues

  4. Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on compliance requirements

  5. Provide expert advice and guidance to management on compliance matters

  6. Prepare detailed compliance reports and present findings to senior leadership

  7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance practices

  8. Provide Lead support for At Home Aged Care application/registration process

  9. Provide support for Shift care ERP system implementation.

What we're looking for

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or a health/social care discipline (Nursing)

  2. 5+ years of experience in a compliance role in the aged care and disability support sector with Nursing experience

  3. Comprehensive understanding of legislation, regulations and industry standards governing aged care and disability services

  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance risks

  5. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to influence and drive change

  6. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs

  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
