The Role

We're seeking a Leading Hand with mid-level experience who can take ownership of job sites and support our supervisors to deliver premium outcomes. You will be the hands-on driver of site organisation and safety, ensuring every project from site clean-up to small-scale build deliverables is completed to Acustruct's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisors with day-to-day site management and coordination
  • Oversee and deliver small projects or site packages independently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant site at all times
  • Manage trades and subcontractors on specific tasks
  • Carry out general construction duties as required
  • Monitor progress, quality, and materials to meet deadlines
  • Report site issues, risks, and solutions promptly to supervisors
About You
  • 3–5 years' experience as a Leading Hand or Carpenter in residential construction
  • Strong technical knowledge of building practices and site management
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, "get it done" mindset with attention to detail
  • White Card, driver's licence, and trade qualifications (carpentry preferred)
