We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainer and Assessor Agriculture to join the GOTAFE team. Your passion for agriculture and the future of farming will be essential as you educate our motivated cohort of students in Certificate 2 & 3 in Agriculture and Horticulture. This role will also be involved in the delivery of short courses such as chainsaw and farm chemicals.

Core functions of this role include planning and conducting classes, using your industry knowledge to bring important context to the curriculum and give our students a valuable learning experience.

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • A relevant vocational qualification in Agriculture and/or Dairy Production (Certificate 3 minimum).
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40122 (GOTAFE supports on the job completion).
  • Extensive industry experience (This may include livestock, cropping and/or dairy).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team.

If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:

  • A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
  • A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
  • A current Driver's Licence (Car).

The salary range for this position is L1.1-L3.5 Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement.
