OZ OILS are looking for a Labourer to work onsite at our Loganholme depot who is also able to assist with driving a small vehicle to collect cooking oil. Willing to acquire MR truck licence at OZ OILS expense

  • Permanent full time position 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday - 7:00am-3:00pm (8 hr shift per day)
  • All training relevant to your role is provided on-the-job

Rewards:

  • Salary:Rate $33 per hour
  • Super:Standard minimum super in addition to the base rate
  • Willing to acquire MR truck licence at OZ OILS expense

Role & Responsibility:

Yard Hand primary role and responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with Operations Supervisor daily
  • Actively participate in the day-to-day activities of OZ OILS focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency in the day-to-day activities
  • General onsite duties
  • Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Available to do overtime if required to assist cover other staff on leave
  • Not afraid to get hands dirty
  • Wash and clean collection units
  • Transfer Used Cooking Oil
  • Forklift operation to load & unload vehicles
  • Strapping vehicles
  • Record keeping
  • Batch, production & dispatch in preparation for regular audits
  • Maintain cleanliness of working yard
  • Minor repairs and maintenance on equipment & vehicles
  • Driving a range of vehicles as needed that a minimum Open Manual licence is required to begin then willing to acquire MR truck licence at OZ OILS expense
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
  • Regular general safety vehicle inspections
  • Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through accountability to standard operating procedures
  • Promote teamwork to ensure all staff are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
  • Ensure compliance at all times in the area of Safety
  • Promote a harmonious environment with a positive can-do approach to servicing the needs of OZ OILS customers above the needs of a single department
  • Quick on your feet and willing to get stuck in and get the job done
  • Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy

Skills & Experience:

  • Current Open Manual Driver's License (essential)
  • Current High Risk Forklift License (essential)
  • Forklift experience is a must
  • Current MR truck licence (preferred but not necessary)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not necessary)

Workplace Requirements:

  • Steel capped safety boots (Own expense)
  • Hi-vis work clothes suited to work (Provided)
  • Ability to work independently, without supervision and also be part of a team
  • Attention to detail and diligence for quality of work
  • Physically fit due to hands-on nature of work
  • Good communication skills
