Team Leader Operations

TRILITY is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our Wakefield Operations team on a 12 month full time, fixed-term contract. Play a key role in the wastewater operations across the area.

The role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small team working on TRILITY sites and assets, and all facets of water and wastewater plant operation.

This role is responsible for five wastewater treatment plants (Balaklava, Blyth, Hamley Bridge, Port Wakefield and Snowtown) with a varying array of associated pump stations, reuse locations and network mains. The role will be based in the Council depot in Balaklava, however will involve frequent travel around all locations to conduct required works.

The role is also part of a rotating on-call roster to provide out of hours response to alarms and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

You will be expected to make and implement decisions relating to treatment and processes and to comply with all legislative and company procedures and systems. Key duties include:

What we are looking for

• Sound judgement in relation to operational issues
• The ability to 'think on your feet' when dealing with plant-related problems
• Effective time management skills to balance your teams conflicting priorities
• Leadership capabilities or potential and be an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Experience in operation and maintenance of water, wastewater or similar production facilities would be highly regarded
• Current Australian Driver's Licence C Class
• Familiarity in use of PC's and Microsoft Office suite
• A relevant trade would be highly regarded
