About the Role
We're excited to be launching a brand-new education site in Peppermint Grove and are looking for two full-time, experienced Canteen Managers to lead our catering operations
Cater Care is partnering with one of the region's prestigious schools to deliver exceptional food services to students and staff. In this role, you'll also be responsible for preparing and managing the kitchen for the Senior Canteen and Café, serving Year 12 students and teachers.
Training will commence in early January, ready for the site opening. You'll enjoy on-site parking and easy access to public transport, with nearby bus routes making your commute simple and convenient.
Roster: School Terms Only
Position 1: Monday to Friday- 6:30am-2:30pm
Position 2: Monday to Friday - 6:45am- 3:15pm
Key Responsibilities
Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation and service
Lead and support a small team to deliver exceptional customer service
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and students
Coordinate and oversee special events, functions, or catering within the school
Skills and Experiences:
What We're Looking For
Proven experience managing a canteen, café, or commercial kitchen environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills
Flexible, reliable, and committed to working school-term schedules
Experience in an education setting is highly desirable
