We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the dynamic team at Hope Valley Cafe and pizzeria at Grand junction Road. As our Sous Chef, you will play a Vital role in running a busy kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This is a full-time position based in Hope Valley, SA 5090.

What you'll be doing

Overall management and organization of the kitchen

  • Preparing a wide range of high-quality dishes to our exacting standards
  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of the kitchen team
  • Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Participating in menu planning, development and Food cost
  • Providing training and mentorship to junior members of the kitchen staff
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient working environment
  • A good knowledge to cook Franch and Italian,
  • Able to cook and knowledge of bulk cooking, bulk cooking inventory

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent in a high-volume cafe, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a kitchen team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for creating delicious, innovative dishes
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Current Food Safety Certificate and knowledge of HACCP principles
  • Must have full Australian work rights (no sponsorship available)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
