Now Careers are currently seeking an experience forklift operator to join a well established timber and building materials supplier based in Wetherill Park. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who is looking to secure a long term role with an industry leader.

  • 6am start Monday - Friday

As a Forklift Operator You Will Be Responsible For

  • Receiving and unloading stock deliveries into the warehouse.
  • Loading delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
  • Storing and organising materials neatly and safely in the yard and warehouse.
  • Conducting stock takes and keeping inventory areas well organised.
  • Picking and packing online and instore customer orders.
  • Assisting with walk in customer orders and providing a friendly instore experience.
  • Carrying out general yard duties and clean ups, providing a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Conduct daily prestart check on forklift prior to use and report and faults or maintenance required.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 18 months experience operating forklifts.
  • Experience in timber, steel, glass, manufacturing or building products beneficial.
  • Pallet and oversized load experience.
  • Confidence working in a busy yard/factory environment.
  • Solid understanding of safe lifting and handling practices.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work well within a team.
  • LF forklift licence
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Own reliable transport to get to work.
  • Full PPE.
