About the role

As an HC/Sideloader Driver for the Victorian Transport Company, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across Victoria. This full-time role is based in Brooklyn, VIC 3012. You will use your expert driving skills and knowledge of road transport procedures to ensure timely deliveries while prioritising safety.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate heavy combination vehicles, including sideloaders, to transport goods across various locations
  2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any issues
  3. Ensure cargo is properly secured and distributed to maintain vehicle stability and balance
  4. Adhere to all road traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols
  5. Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records of trips and activities
  6. Provide excellent customer service to clients throughout the delivery process

What we're looking for

  1. A current Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with sideloader experience
  2. Demonstrated expertise in operating heavy vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
  3. Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and best practices
  4. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  5. A commitment to workplace health and safety
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  7. Flexibility to work shifts, including afternoon and weekends, as required
