About the role

This full-time Optical Fitter role at All About Vision Optical in Northgate, Queensland, offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team in the vision care industry. In this position, you will be responsible for fitting and adjusting eyeglasses, ensuring customers receive the highest level of service and customised solutions to meet their vision needs. We utilise the latest edging equipment, including models from MEI and NIDEK.

What you'll be doing

• Precisely measuring and fitting prescription lenses to customers' selected optical frames.
• Performing minor repairs and adjustments to eyeglasses
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Collaborating with the optical team to deliver a seamless customer experience

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as an Optical Fitter or in a similar role within the optical industry
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Optical Fitter or in a similar optical retail role
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide personalised solutions
• Excellent attention to detail and dexterity for precise frame fitting and adjustments
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of eyewear, lens types, and optical industry trends
• Proficiency with optical measuring equipment (pupillometers, lensometers) and knowledge of progressive lens fitting techniques
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the permanent right to work in Australia
