The Role

  • As a Field Technician, you will play a key role in the timely and efficient delivery of instrumentation services within the process control and calibration industry
  • The candidate should ideally have a strong background in an industrial environment with exposure to instrumentation
  • Willing to support training to achieve additional trade qualifications in instrumentation (Cert III or Cert IV)
  • Occasional travel to regional locations may be required, depending on client demands
  • Seeking an individual who has a high level of customer focus, building rapport and relationships with clients, and capable of identifying sales opportunities

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform calibrations, adjustments, repairs, traceable calibrations, and management systems for a wide range of clients within the Adelaide metro area
  • Plan and install new instrumentation as required by customers
  • Maintain a high level of technical competency, ensuring that diagnosed and repaired instruments or systems can be returned to service with minimal disruption to customer processes
  • Take responsibility for tasks assigned and complete them within set timeframes with minimal supervision
  • Complete and present service & repair report within set timeframe
  • Liaise with customers and keep them informed regarding work progress
  • Accurately enter calibration data into relevant software to produce necessary documentation, certificates, and reports
  • Ensuring that delivery of documentation meets customer expectations and Trescal timelines
  • Follow Job Pack guidelines and prepare for job execution, including preparation of test equipment & tools
  • Maintain communications with co-ordinator and supervisor to ensure that jobs progress efficiently and safely
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience

Key requirements:

  • Unrestricted SA Electrical Licence or Electrical reconnect/disconnect license highly regarded
  • Hold a trade certificate in instrumentation (either Cert III or Cert IV) highly favorable
  • Current CPR/LVR certification (within the last 12 months)
  • Current drivers licence
  • White Card
  • Calibration experience or exposure in a maintenance or industrial environment would be highly regarded

General Info:

  • Head office based in Mile End, SA
  • Core hours 7:00AM – 4:15PM
  • Some overtime and regional travel will be required for this role (and compensated accordingly)
