We are seeking an experienced Labourer/Undercoater to join our team at Johnson Refinishing in Noosaville. This position provides an opportunity for long term employment with a family owned business, focused on achieving outstanding results for our clients.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Assisting with handling, preparing, cleaning and masking of components for painting
  • Priming and painting of various surfaces using a range of techniques including 2 pac spraying
  • Carrying out general labouring duties such as loading/unloading materials
  • General housekeeping duties in workshop when required

To be successful in this role you will be expected to have:

  • Previous experience as a Labourer, Undercoater or 2 Pac Spray Painter within the trades and services industry
  • Proven ability to work safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labour
  • Sound knowledge of safe working practices and procedures in a workshop environment

Preferred but not essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in the fields of surface preparation and spray painting
  • Safe handling of solvents and paints
  • Experience in the use and cleaning of various spray-painting tools and equipment
  • Experience in using various hand tools, sanders and masking machines

Permanent position

Immediate start

Hours are 6.30am – 3.00pm Monday to Thursday and 6.30am – 12.30pm Friday
