About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Affordable Industry Training as a Truck Instructor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training and instruction to individuals seeking to obtain their heavy vehicle driver's licenses. Based in our either Ormeau or Deagon sites, you will play a crucial part in equipping our students with the knowledge and skills needed to become safe and confident truck drivers. Seeking MR to MC truck holders.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering comprehensive practical training on the safe operation of heavy vehicles
  • Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback to help them improve their driving abilities

  • Ensuring that all training sessions adhere to relevant industry regulations and safety standards

  • Collaborating with the wider training team to continuously improve the quality of our programs

What we're looking for

  • a professional heavy vehicle driver, with a proven track record of safe and responsible operation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to students

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals
  • A valid Truck driver's license, including the appropriate endorsements for the vehicles you will be training on
  • Willing to complete the TLI41222 Cert IV if have not already.
