About the role
Irons Auto Repairs is seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanic and/ or enthusiastic apprentice to join our team in Townsend, NSW 2463. As a full-time Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles, ensuring our customers receive top-quality service and get back on the road quickly and safely.
What you'll be doing
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, as well as larger repiar jobs such as tramsmission/ clutch replacements, engine repair and replacements
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles
- Test-driving vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics or a related field (n/a for apprentice)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transportation
