Band 5 - Starting from $78,448 + super + monthly RDO
(RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take on a junior Strategic Planner position to assist with the progression of a variety of projects and planning scheme amendments.

The key responsibilities would include:

• Assist in providing strategic and operational input into the Branch as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist in providing professional advice in relation to land use and development (housing, commercial, industrial, open space, heritage and sustainability).
• Facilitate the ongoing development of Council's local strategies, policy, provisions and their monitoring and refinement.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Good general knowledge of the Victorian planning system and key planning issues and trends in an inner urban context
• An interest in a range of different planning topics
• An open and collaborative attitude to working with others
