About The Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Lead to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities across multiple projects. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of automated and manual testing methodologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams working in Scrum methodology to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions and quick resolution of defects.

This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with 2x12 months extension options, located at our client's Canberra site.

As The Selected Candidate, You Will

• Lead and mentor a team of manual and automation testers across multiple projects.
• Define and implement test strategies, master test plans, quality gates, and defect triage processes.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure full test coverage.
• Oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and integration into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• Track and report test progress, defect metrics, and quality KPIs to stakeholders.
• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have

• 7+ years of Dynamics 365 CRM/.NET testing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to define test strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Experience driving testing capability uplift across people, processes, and tools.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

It Is Desirable If You Have

• Experience with EasyRepro and Mstest (C#) automation frameworks.
• Previous experience working in the APS or with government grants platforms.
• Familiarity with hybrid working arrangements and remote testing coordination.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and contributing to go/no-go decisions for releases.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a Baseline security clearance.
