Inspire Childcare is a purpose-built, 83-place Christian-based early learning centre located in the heart of Hoxton Park. Our centre provides early education and care to children aged 0 to 6 years, in a nurturing, inclusive, and child-safe environment.

The Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) plays a key leadership role in delivering high-quality education programs, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment, and upholding the Christian ethos and child safe practices of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Leadership

  • Develop and implement programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Lead, inspire and mentor educators in high-quality teaching practices
  • Promote inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive

Child Safety and Wellbeing

  • Adhere to and promote the Child Safe Code of Conduct
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times, including no private babysitting arrangements unless formally disclosed and approved
  • Be alert to and report any concerns regarding child safety, misconduct or breaches – even if minor
  • Participate in regular child protection training, supervision and professional development

Christian Values and Ethics

  • Model Christian values and integrate them into daily interactions with children, families, and staff
  • Support the centre's faith-based culture in alignment with our mission

Communication and Relationships

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and external professionals
  • Support a collaborative team environment with high morale and shared goals

Compliance and Administration

  • Maintain compliance with ACECQA and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records including programming, documentation, and observations
  • Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid Certificate

Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACEQCA approved)
  • Sound knowledge of EYLF, NQF and current pedagogical practices
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to child safety, Christian values, and ethical conduct
  • Experience in mentoring and leading a team (preferred)
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain)
