Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations - John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River.D4C is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth. We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.Primary PurposeLead the successful delivery of large and complex projects (normally valued >$30m of high complexity/risk) working across a specific geographical area or functional discipline in accordance with design requirements, time and cost constraints, and commercial, HR, safety, quality, and environment and community targets. Achieve or exceed project financial targets, identifying and mitigating issues as they arise and capitalising on opportunities.This position supports the Regional Construction Lead manage a team of Construction Leads & Engineers working across medium and low complexity/risk projects and provides strong leadership to build a collaborative culture across multi-disciplinary teams.Key AccountabilitiesManage the overall delivery of the project program, on or ahead of time with all client expectations met, and in accordance with NEC4 processes.Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goalsManage the specialist functions of design, engineering, procurement and construction, manage the interaction of various disciplines and multiple work streamsLiaise with the Construction Manager to modify design in construction systems and methods as necessaryReview progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as requiredFinancial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with JH's authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the projectDemonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental managementDemonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance and auditing, and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building CodeStakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintainedPeople management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high-performance team within a positive employee relations environmentContribute to new business, continuous improvement and broader business activitiesPerform all duties in accordance with Sydney Water policies, processes, systems, reporting and proceduresConduct regular meetings with the Sydney Water Project Managers to foster a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation, and address early warnings, changes to the program and compensation events, and broader safety, environment, quality and constructability compliance matters.Essential15 years of post-graduate work experience with 5 years in a project management roleManagement of multidisciplinary projects and project teams >$50mContemporary practices in design and construction methodologyContractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative complianceAdvanced financial and commercial management including cost reduction and meeting budgetsPeople and performance management including the performance of subcontractorsComplex client relationship and stakeholder managementQuantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessmentAnalysis of and reporting on complex project performance, compliance, defects and/or non-conformance and defects and/or non-conformanceWe welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.What's next?If this sounds like you, click `Apply' and send an up-to-date CV outlining your skills and experience.
