About the Role:

We are seeking Forklift Operators / Yard Hand (all-rounder) to join our Melbourne team. These roles will perform Warehouse duties, Truck Washing and Tug duties daily within our Derrimut Terminal. This position offers strong potential for career development and growth and is an excellent entry point into the Transport and Logistics industry.

Work schedule availability is:

  • Sunday - Thursday 2am start (Sunday would be a 4am start)
  • Monday to Friday - 6am start
  • Monday to Friday - 9am start

Duties include:

  • Load/unload trucks with operation of Forklift
  • Ensure loads are properly restrained
  • Washing of Trucks and trailers
  • Liaise with logistics team in regards to paperwork
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Operate tug vehicles to move trailers around the Terminal when required

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • You'll need to be hands on with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Experience in loading/unloading of trucks
  • Ability to follow instructions to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times
  • Ability to work within time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Willing to undertake Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Valid Forklift ticket
  • Current HR Drivers Licence will be beneficial
