About The Role:

We're looking for a compounder to manufacture products such as lotions, creams, personal care products etc within our dedicated GMP facility.

You will be hands-on in this role, taking responsibility for all aspects of the bulk manufacturing operations. We're looking for a candidate who is reliable, has a strong work ethic, able to work in a fast-paced environment, has good communication skills and a can-do attitude as well as have experience with GMP or HACCP and are physically fit to lift 25kgs. The role requires individuals who have good attention to detail, good mathematical ability and literacy, to follow instructions on the batch documentation. You will be mixing and blending small and large industrial batches in accordance with quality standards.

Some on the job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare, mix and blend batches following details from work instructions
• Completing all necessary manufacturing paperwork
• General maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
• Cleaning and upkeep of all production equipment
• Follow GMP requirements and work closely with QC staff to ensure products meet the requirements of the customer and the highest possible standards of the company and the customer
• Clean & sanitise manufacturing vessels and associated equipment for use.
• Comply with all general safety directions for the workplace and those prescribed on the Job Sheets.
• Ensure that all plant and equipment used in the process of manufacturing is in good safe working order eg; machine guards are in place. If such equipment is required to be calibrated, ensure that equipment is in calibration date.
• Ensure regular and routine maintenance is carried out where appropriate.
• Clear and clean manufacturing area of previous batches before starting a new job.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical sectors in compounding / blending advantageous however would also suit baker or other batch making experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
• A demonstrated commitment to continual improvement and learning.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships
• Ability to work without supervision and continually show initiative
• Enthusiasm, with a positive attitude
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• A strong work ethic
• Hold a current unrestricted Driver's license
