Carer (Northen Beaches)

We invite you to come and work with one of the aged care industries most progressive and evolving not for profits, Scalabrini Village.

We are seeking a number of experienced Carers with a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care to undertake the role of a Carer at our Allambie Heights Village on a casual basis.

The role entails providing care to residents as a member of the care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide person centred care which includes

• empowering our residents to ensure their choices and preferences are met

• assisting residents with their daily care needs

• assisting residents to participate in activities

You will have/be:

• Caring, patient and enjoy making a positive impact to our residents everyday lives.

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care

• Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care

• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships

• Confidence working in a flexible team environment

• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal

• Intermediate computer literacy

• Ability to speak other languages is desirable but not required
