Role Description

This is a full-time role for a DevOps Engineer based in Port Melbourne, VIC, with some work from home acceptable. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing infrastructure as code (IaC), performing system administration tasks, and working with continuous integration and software development processes. Daily duties include maintaining and optimizing Linux systems, deploying infrastructure, and ensuring smooth, automated software releases.

Qualifications

  • Build and optimise cloud-native infrastructure within secure AWS environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Software Development and Continuous Integration skills.
  • System Administration experience with a strong focus on Linux.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance performance across complex cloud systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation to support transparency and repeatability
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and cloud operation strategies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics is a plus.

Key Skills

·      Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) is required.

·      Intermediate proficiency in DevOps and Cloud Automation DevOps is suggested.

·      Automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.

·      Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development and operational goals.

·      Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes.
