CARPENTER (FIFO) 2/1

We are currently seeking skilled Carpenters preferably with FIFO experience on mining projects to join our team and contribute to our positive culture. We are seeking young enthusiastic people willing to be part of a team and assist with all types of tasks.

At Finlay Group we specialise in Mining & Resources, large scale commercial projects and interior fit outs & refurbishments. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, build & erect wall and roof framing

Build, form and properly brace formwork for large concrete pours

Install door frames, hang doors properly, cut in and fit complex door hardware

Install fixtures and fittings which include, but are not limited to, skirtings & architraves.

Read, interpret and set out based on drawings and specifications

Set-out formwork, wall frames using RL's, gridlines & pegs.

Deliver proper carpentry and trade skills on a FIFO roster.

What We Need from You:

Previous experience as a Carpenter

Must have and be able to demonstrate experience in formwork, steel fixing, framing

Must be able to read drawings and specifications, interpret and set out

Attention to detail and quality workmanship

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, be a leader and deliver on your duties as a tradesman.

Be part of a team, jump in and assist on any task.

Must be safety conscious and adheres to safety guidelines and regulations

Physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting, in hot conditions.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties

Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, work to deadlines, commit.

Must pass a full medical and disclose prior injuries or W/C records

Must pass regular drug and alcohol screening,

Equipped with personal tools essential for the trade

Required Qualifications:

· White Card

· Trade Certificate

· Working at Heights Ticket

· EWP or SL Ticket
