We are looking for a Level 1/Junior IT Support Technician to join our Adelaide-based ICT team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT requests at our Global HQ while also supporting our global workforce remotely. You will help maintain our hardware, software, and network systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist in onboarding new staff with the tools they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have a natural problem-solving mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for helping people. You'll need to adapt quickly to changing priorities, provide clear communication to both technical and non-technical staff, and approach challenges with a "can-do" attitude.

This role is in 5 days a week in office at our HQ based right next to Adelaide airport.

Main Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Provide first-line IT support to staff in our Adelaide HQ and remote teams globally.
  • Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for new and existing staff.
  • Assist with account creation, access management, and software installations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in person and remotely.
  • Support video conferencing, meeting room technology, and collaboration tools.
  • Log and track support requests through our IT ticketing system, escalating where needed.
  • Maintain IT asset records and assist with lifecycle management of equipment.
  • Follow and contribute to IT procedures, security practices, and documentation.

Key Skills and Required Experience

  • Positive customer service attitude with strong communication skills across phone, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Shows a willingness to learn and adapt, with the ability to follow instructions closely.
  • Demonstrates a cooperative team attitude, assisting and supporting colleagues when needed.
  • Ability to self-organize and manage time effectively with some guidance, ensuring that tasks are completed on time.
  • Displays professional behavior, confidentiality, and respect in handling routine tasks.
  • Able to identify problems and seek help when necessary, showing a proactive approach
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, relevant industry certifications, or equivalent practical experience in ICT support.
  • Minimum of 1 year technical support experience, ideally in an ISP or MSP environment.
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration and end-user support.
  • Ability to configure and deploy standard operating environments for staff laptops.
  • Working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Comfortable working independently in situations with incomplete information or changing requirements.

The Team

The Information & Communications Technology (ICT) team is the central nervous system of Fleet Space Technologies. We are the strategic enablers who build, secure, and scale the digital infrastructure that powers our mission to connect Earth, Moon, and Mars. Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will be a key integrator across the business, working directly with our Finance, Legal, and Quality teams, while collaborating closely with our technical experts in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Software. Your work ensures the innovators building our pioneering technologies have the robust and efficient tools they need to succeed.

Fleet Space Technologies vision from the beginning was to build technologies to help humanity explore and connect the Earth, Moon, and Mars.
