PremiAir Hire is one of Australia's leading Hire/Rental companies and has a reputation for providing high quality, reliability and exceptional service. PremiAir supplies and services a range of equipment in the construction, traffic, mining, manufacturing and events industries.

Due to unprecedented demand, we have a fulltime vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanic to be responsible for the servicing and repair of light vehicles, as well as hire equipment including but not limited to generators, lighting towers and compressors.

Located at our Darra workshop and reporting to the QLD State Manager, we are looking for a team player with strong communication skills, good technical knowledge and outstanding customer service skills to take on this fast-paced and dynamic role.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • On-time servicing and repair of a range of light vehicles and hire equipment such as generators and lighting towers.
  • Fault finding on on all equipment
  • Working cohesively with other workshop employees
  • Assist in managing daily workflow to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Administrative tasks relevant to the position

We are seeking a person with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Must currently live in Australia
  • Must have full working rights to be considered for this role
  • Trade qualifications in a mechanical trade
  • Previous experience with a machinery/equipment hire company is preferred.
  • Forklift licence is preferred, yet not essential.
  • Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Can work unsupervised and listen and follow instructions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work
  • Has a strong team mind-set
  • Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
  • Can work overtime and when required, be part of an on-call roster
  • Is reliable, punctual with excellent work ethics
  • Has a stable work history and reliable work references
  • Has a valid and current drivers license
